I
charge $100 to come to your garden, walk with you through
it and discuss what you'd like it to become. This usually
takes about 1 1/2 hours. If you have lots of ideas, I'll
listen to them; if you don't have a vision, I'll share mine.
Usually
within this time it will become clear if we're able to work
together. If you choose to have me help you with your garden
design, part of the consultation will be determining the
elements of your garden.
My
garden designs are customized, primarily with my specialty,
flowers and herbs. Depending on the client, I may use a
lot of input on specific flowers, complimented with my own
expertise.
How
the garden is to be used will also inform what goes into
it, e.g., an outdoor room will make use of texture and fragrance
that is best appreciated close-up.
Your
design plan might call for the garden to be phased in from
season to season for color renewal, or to be planted all
at once.
I
am available to teach Caring For Your Garden sessions
to new clients.
I
encourage fertilizing, pest and disease control through
non-chemical means.
Some
clients like me to check on their garden once a month, others
seasonally, and add more flowers and herbs to keep it at
its beautiful best.
